Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Streets Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks related to the construction and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, signage, and pavement marking. The position requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle both physical and mental demands effectively. Normal Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities: Street and Sidewalk Maintenance: Engage in general labor tasks including asphalt paving, concrete repair, joint and crack sealing, street sign fabrication and installation, and pavement marking. Traffic Control: Set up and manage work zones and roadway traffic control to ensure safety and compliance. Equipment Operation: Operate and perform minor maintenance on light and heavy equipment, power tools, and motorized equipment. Operate vehicles up to and including Class "B" CDL size with air brakes. Snow Removal: Participate in snow removal activities to keep streets and public areas accessible and safe. Minimum Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. High School graduate or GED certificate. One (1) year of applicable experience. Must have a Class "B" CDL valid in the state of Missouri, or obtain within 120 days of employment. Commercial drivers instruction permit (CDIP) must be obtained within 60 days of employment. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 90 lbs.
