Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays . The role can be located in

Boston, MA, Columbus, OH, Charlottesville, VA,

or

Durham, NC . The Opportunity As an

Engineering Manager , you will lead a cross-functional team (e.g., engineers, product, program management) building digital products for clients, helping them achieve their goals. You will drive the team and clients to adopt cutting-edge techniques for software delivery and shape solutions with your technical expertise. Success means an energized, happy team delivering high-quality software to engaged stakeholders. Responsibilities Collaborate with teams and clients to deliver software in an agile environment. Manage a team of Software Engineers, fostering growth through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback. Own the delivery of digital products, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-tested code. Communicate complex problems around technology, business, and user experience effectively to stakeholders. Stay current on new technologies and managerial techniques. Visit clients up to 1-3 days per month, especially during kickoff or launch periods. Qualifications 5+ years of experience building digital products and at least 2 years leading a team. Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile, mob programming, and shift-left testing. Experience managing complex projects with multiple external stakeholders. Strong business, UX, and software project management skills. Ability to motivate clients and third-party partners collaboratively. Experience with AI tools is a plus. Bonus Points Proficiency with core technologies (iOS, Android, Web Apps, API Engineering, Testing). Experience in a client services environment or digital agency. $145,000 — $189,000 USD Seniority level
