GENERAL SUMMARY:
The YMCA of Greater Louisville is a vibrant, Urban Group YMCA known to be mission-oriented and cause driven. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, team oriented innovative individual. As a key member of the School-Age Child Care Services Branch, the Program Director, under the direction of the Regional Director, is responsible for providing direct supervision to 8 school programs. This position will play a key role in fostering and strengthening school relations and developing new program opportunities. (S)he will also provide leadership to branch and site fundraising efforts. In addition, this person will also play a key role in branch initiatives related to Healthy Living, Youth Development and Social Responsibility. The School-Age Child Care Services branch is an $13M operation focused on improving health and wellness and supporting the academic needs and overall success of the youth we serve. Uphold the Mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful and welcoming nature Excellent writing along with strong oral communication skills Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of two years work experience in either child care or related field, preferred Previous management experience in coaching, nurturing and motivating others History of successful partnerships that connect people Meet state child care directors’ qualifications Experience supervising and training adults Develop and manage a high functioning team of directors Ability to act genuine bringing people together to strengthen the community A positive, can-do attitude focusing on serving others in a welcoming manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Nurture relationships with current and potential donors
