Work with Technology team to provide Hyve Solutions firmware roadmap and development plan by learning and evaluating new firmware demands/technologies in the server/cloud market. The firmware includes BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), ROT (Root of Trust) and embedded firmware (eg. SAS expander, micro-processor/ARM boot loaders, etc.). Define annual KPI and SWOT analysis for the firmware team and lead the team for execution. Analyze available solutions/vendors to decide a best-fit option for the company firmware development needs. Work with team members for evaluating different solution options for functionality, cost and risk, developing the solution, implementing it, verifying it and supporting it in production. Drive processes, strategies, architectures, or protocols to enhance firmware development efficiency and design quality. Collaborate with EE/ME/Thermal/SIT/TPM teams for providing solid solutions system/rack-level designs or debugging/ problem solving. Hybrid role permitting up to 30% work from home within a reasonable commuting distance of the Fremont, CA office. This position requires up to 15% international travel. Details

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study and ten (10) years experience as a Hardware Engineer, Firmware Manager, Firmware Technologist, BIOS Engineer or related role where required experience gained. Special Skills
