YMCA of Greater Louisville Train, supervise, and schedule staff in activity areas; oversee Specialist team in quality of activity facilitation Assist Senior Director of Camping in training, supporting and coaching leadership staff throughout the summer Assist in upholding camp tradition (Pathfinder program, cabin/unit of the week awards, etc.) Schedule and implement a variety of evening activities Organize and facilitate off-season programs (Groups & Retreats, Family Camps, etc.) Coordinate, plan, and implement staff needs, training, and hiring as needed for group season responsibilities Assist the Senior of Camping with staffing initiatives and oversight Oversee program quality for both groups season and summer camp activities Assist in marketing for all Camp programs Ensure all aspects of Camp are congruent with the requirements laid out by the American Camp Association Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values Provide a warm and welcoming environment for participants, addressing their needs and concerns throughout their time in Camp Piomingo Programs Communicate clearly and effectively with participants, staff, and management to provide timely updates, instructions, and information about schedules and logistics Positively impact & mentor a diverse community of all ages Ensure both a physically and an emotionally safe and inclusive environment for youth and staff Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, engaging, catering to a diverse range of participants’ interests and abilities Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Related Experience Minimum of 3 years of overnight camping experience Experience in staff management and leading others Excellent organizational and time management skills Commitment to working with diverse groups of youth and staff Strong written and verbal communication skills Desire to learn and approach challenges with a problem-solving mentality Ability to work independently as well as within a team Ability to accept guidance and supervision Ability to obtain YMCA Leader Certification within a year
