We’re looking for a Research Data Scientist to join the team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment with diverse data sets and technologies to produce production-quality, scalable, automated solutions to a diverse set of data problems. You will have the freedom to utilize the latest technologies to solve challenging problems, create innovative applications, and contribute to a reliable online experience for our customers. This role collaborates closely with our technology and client-facing teams to optimize our business and redefine marketing analytics for TV and streaming video media buying.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to build predictive models, measurement algorithms, and deep analyses to optimize our business.

Apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to build predictive models and recommender systems.

Apply a deep understanding of statistics and probability to improve existing algorithms.

Contribute to developing and maintaining internal analysis software libraries.

Develop new intellectual property.

Analyze large amounts of data to identify relationships and trends, translating them into actionable insights for our product team and clients.

Report findings, both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

Masters’ degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.)

Advanced experience in data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, pandas, pyspark, SQL)

Deep knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques

Experience building/testing/validating ML models using state-of-the-art tech

Strong background designing and developing software to implement advanced analytic algorithms

A quick learner, with the ability to work independently and adaptably in a fast-paced environment

Strengths in creativity and open-ended problem-solving; able to identify what's important to focus on for effective approaches

Strong strategic thinking capabilities and project management skills

Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Nice to have: PhD in a technical field

Industry experience with development and deployment of predictive models or recommendation systems

Compensation: Salary $130,000 - $160,000 annually
