Relocation to Florida is needed for this one Full Compensation includes a base, a cash bonus, and LTI in the funds. Our client is an established asset management firm with an above-market track record. The Counsel, Attorney would contribute to and/or be responsible for the following areas: Responsibilities: Serve as a key legal advisor, assisting with M&A transactions, contract negotiation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and investment management for the Firm, its Private Equity Funds, and Portfolio Companies. Assist and lead private equity transactions, including acquisitions and non-control investments in founders' businesses. Support drafting documents for acquisitions, M&A, co-investments, joint ventures, and financing documents, including purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and other documents. Provide legal advice for portfolio company management and governance. Manage fund investor transfers and assist with tracking investment fund and side letter obligations to investors. Help with portcos processes related to litigation and other regulatory issues. Requirements: A minimum of 4+ years (JD 2021/2020 +) of professional experience in BigLaw or at a financial services firm JD from a top-tier law school Desire to be included in a business environment and the ability to be a self-starter Entrepreneurial spirit, confidence, and top-notch communication skills Seniority level
