As Director of Strategic Business Development in our Consulting & Talent Solutions team, you’ll play a pivotal role in revitalizing our professional services and staffing practice. You will architect a high-performing, scalable business model that delivers value through consulting services, strategic staffing, and flexible delivery capabilities—including onshore, nearshore, and offshore models. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with deep expertise in staffing and consulting sales, who is motivated by the opportunity to rebuild a business unit from the ground up and scale it with impact. What You’ll Do Guided by Paradigm’s mission to turn vision into results, you will: Re-establish and scale a modern, client-centric consulting and strategic staffing services practice within a 30-year-old firm with strong brand equity Drive full-cycle business development: from market segmentation and new logo acquisition to client relationship management and solution delivery alignment Design and implement delivery models that span individual contributors, consulting pods, and managed services across global resource models (onshore/nearshore/offshore) Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders (VP, CIO, CDO, etc.) and position Paradigm as a strategic partner in solving complex business and technology challenges Partner closely with recruiting, solution delivery, and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure operational excellence Hire, mentor, and scale a team of business development and account professionals as the practice grows Own sales targets, forecasting, and strategic account planning while contributing to broader practice growth goals Who You Are & What You Bring You thrive where integrity, impact, and collaboration intersect. You bring business acumen and industry insight to link strategy with execution; emotional intelligence and communication skills to influence change; and a growth mindset and a drive to contribute beyond the deliverable. 10+ years of recent sales and business development experience in professional services, strategic staffing, or consulting, with at least 7 years in leadership role Develop and implement a robust strategic staffing and staff augmentation model that aligns with company objectives Proven track record of building or relaunching a service line or staffing business with measurable revenue and client acquisition success Experience selling into mid-market or enterprise clients in technology-driven environments (data, cloud, IT, or digital transformation) Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Deep understanding of resource delivery models, including onshore/nearshore/offshore options, VMS, and RPO business models Preferred Qualifications Experience managing or scaling high-performing sales and account teams Knowledge of solution selling methodologies and strategic pursuit frameworks Established network of client and candidate relationships in technology or consulting services sectors Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business education preferred Why Join Paradigm We’re a consultancy where integrity drives innovation and people are empowered to create meaningful, measurable change.
