Software Development Engineer (Onsite/Flexible schedule)
The Musco Information Technology has an opening for a Software Development Engineer at our Arvada, CO office. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!
Essential Criteria:
Minimum Bachelor-s degree in Computer Science-related field, Engineering field, and/or commensurate experience
Minimum of 5 years C++ Development Experience
Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17) and object-oriented design principles
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality C++ applications, primarily targeting Windows operating systems
Experience working the full life cycle of project requests- including working with end-users to gather requirements, develop solutions, test, implement, and maintain
Ability to apply lighting calculations and understand key lighting metrics is considered a strong asset
Experience with databases; 3D modeling/visualization, Visual Studio; scripting in Ruby or Python is plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset
Ability to work with some amount of self-directedness, while working effectively within a Team environment
Work in a confidential manner with data
Roles and Responsibilities:
Write, test, and debug computer software
Work with continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Gitlab)
Participate in issue grooming, code reviews, specification writing and maintenance, and work estimation
Implement robust unit testing strategies to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
Willingness to work with legacy systems and code
Access and report data as necessary
Assist in the development of project schedules
Ensure installed software systems are properly maintained
Provide timely end-user support as needed
Travel to other Musco locations on occasion
Estimated salary range: $80,000-$120,000
