The Program Director of Bronx Bridges is responsible for leading the Good Shepherd Services team in providing counseling and support services for Bronx Bridges students and supporting the Bronx Bridges Administrative team. The Program Director is also responsible for implementing, coordinating, and overseeing the COMPASS After School program. REPORTS TO:

35 Hours/Week; Exempt SALARY:

$65,000-$72,000/Year Major Duties:

Collaborate with the principal, administrative team, and school staff to align support services and GSS activities with school goals and objectives. Provide individual and group counseling related to student academic progress. Offer daily crisis intervention for students regarding personal and/or in-school issues affecting behavior and attendance, connecting students to appropriate resources. Conduct regular supervision, staff meetings, and professional development for staff. Oversee the implementation and coordination of after-school enrichment activities and curricula. Ensure compliance with DYCD, EXPAND ED, COMPASS, and COA accreditation requirements. Organize and manage special events for the after-school program, including securing space, food, travel, admissions, and supplies. Engage in family outreach and involvement as appropriate. Develop and implement workshops tailored to student needs. Establish linkages within the school and community. Participate in school-based teams or committees. Complete and submit monthly narrative and statistical reports. Track program attendance and goals. Monitor program expenditures. Maintain safety, security, and a welcoming atmosphere at the site. Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and weekly supervision. Collaborate with GSS Peer Programs and support departments. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree plus experience in managing programs and staff. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience working with Community-Based Organizations. Experience coordinating after-school programs and working with DOE high schools/programs. Commitment to a strength-based and youth development approach.
