Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced foreman to oversee construction activities for a new-build apartment complex at Iowa River Landing in Coralville, and provide support at the Marriott Hotel project in Cedar Rapids. As a liaison and laborer, you will collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure tasks are completed accurately and the site is maintained in pristine condition.
Responsibilities
Operate Skid Loader to repair ruts and fill them with gravel.
Use Telehandler to transport materials across different site areas.
Coordinate with subcontractors regarding daily material deliveries and site tasks.
Maintain cleanliness of the job site.
Relocate equipment and stage materials.
Perform sweeping duties.
Construct temporary walls, windows, doors, and fencing.
Repair framing, drywall, and miscellaneous items upon project completion.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in construction site clean-up and grading.
Ability to interpret blueprints and perform general labor tasks.
Experience in carpentry, hand tool usage, plumbing, HVAC, concrete work, piping, mechanical, and electrical tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous contractor or building labor experience.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Dress code includes work boots (non-steel-toe), jeans, and a shirt without holes. Standard working hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with potential adjustments for summer overtime.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
