Job Description
The Senior Security Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to ProArch's clients, driving data security strategy, implementation, and compliance programs with a primary focus on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security tools. They will lead workshops, assessments, and proofs-of-concept to identify gaps in data governance and design scalable security solutions tailored to client needs. In addition to hands-on configuration, deployment, and optimization of security tools, the consultant will mentor junior cybersecurity team members, provide escalation support for complex technical challenges, and partner with leadership to evolve ProArch's service offerings. Responsibilities also include presales technical engagements, program improvement initiatives, and building long-term client relationships by ensuring successful delivery and adoption of data security solutions. The role combines technical leadership, consulting, and program management to enhance data governance, protect client information, and ensure compliance across diverse environments. Pay will vary between 60-90/hr, depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity with a background in Security Consulting.
· Deep technical, hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (IRM, DLP, Insider Risk, eDiscovery).
· BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering OR significant demonstratable experience in Microsoft Cloud Security.
· Certifications (must hold or obtain within 12 months):
o CISSP
o SC-401
o AZ-305
· Expertise in Microsoft Security & Compliance tools (Defender suite, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel, Microsoft Compliance Manager, Microsoft Priva).
· Experience in regulatory compliance mapping (HIPAA, GDPR, CMMC) using Microsoft tools.
· Incident Handling & technical investigation ownership.
· Familiarity with SIEM/XDR solutions, particularly Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
· Experience in scripting (PowerShell, Python, AZCLI) and automation (Power Automate, Logic Apps).
· Advanced KQL knowledge (SPL a plus).
Ability to lead client conversations and mentor technical teams. · Certifications: CCSP, CISA, CISM, SC-100, SC-200, or other advanced security certs.
· Experience with CrowdStrike Endpoint, Identity, Next-Gen SIEM.
· Vulnerability Management tools (Qualys).
· Security Awareness platforms (KnowBe4).
· Familiarity with SOAR workflows for automating SOC responses.
· Azure DevOps experience.
· Non-Microsoft Cloud Security knowledge (AWS, GCP).
· Strong public speaking, security report delivery, and client relationship-building experience.
· Experience with MEM, Intune, Azure Arc, GPO.
· Knowledge of authentication/authorization, IAM best practices.
Experience in cost reduction strategies, logging, and fine-tuning. null
