Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Permian Basin is looking to hire a Program Director to serve Midland and Odessa, Texas, with an office provided in Midland. The Program Director will have the primary responsibility of establishing strategic direction for the program function and oversee program design and implementation to ensure achievement of annual goals. The Program Director ensures collaboration and alignment with other internal departments and advocates for support from community partners. The mission of our agency is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Qualifications: ·A documented bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preference will be given to those with a degree in a social-work-related field of study and those with a master’s degree or higher. ·Related experience and/or specific experience with children and Spanish language skills preferred. ·Driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and clear background check required. ·Salesforce/Matchforce and Microsoft Office experience is preferred. Job Responsibilities: ·Responsible for training and management of program staff to ensure compliance with the Service Delivery Model. Will ensure best practices in youth protection and program services within the BBBSA Standards of Practice. ·Accountable for program performance. Monitor operational effectiveness using workflow and tracking systems. Responsible for maintaining accurate file documentation according to BBBSA standards and agency policies. ·Plan, lead, and drive implementation of programs designed to increase and strengthen Big and Little match relationship and youth development. Manage critical service and workflow issues that are impacting the ability to provide quality services. Develop and implement new program initiatives to expand mentoring services or target community issues as directed or needed. ·Communicate with the Executive Director on matters of program effectiveness, youth outcomes, and child safety. ·Work closely with the Resource Development Director to ensure an on-going supply of targeted volunteer candidates and resources to support agency programs. ·Collaborate with the Executive Director on hiring program staff. The Program Director has the primary responsibility for developing and holding staff accountable to work efficiently and effectively and to achieve individual and team goals while complying with local policies and national standards of practice. The Program Director will work with the Executive Director to establish a culture of continuous staff learning, development, and succession planning. ·Plan and attend group activities, assigning program staff as needed. May include evening and weekend hours. ·Provide direct delivery of services to agency customers in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner. This includes: oMaintaining a caseload as assigned and providing Match Support. oCompleting documentation, evaluations, statistical reports, time sheets, and any other required documentation. oAttend and participate in staff and board meetings as requested. oProvide information and referral services to children, guardians, and volunteers. oPlan, implement, and conduct education, information, and special services sessions for children, guardians, and volunteers as assigned. ·Maintain the confidentiality of all youth, guardians, and volunteers. ·Attend professional development and training sessions as recommended and required. ·Assist with special events as requested. ·Occasional light work that could include moving objects up to 20 pounds. Ideal Job Candidate: ·Familiarity with the educational and social service systems and child protection practices and laws. ·Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a multitude of tasks with a strong attention to detail and follow through. ·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills reflecting outstanding customer service. ·Ability to think critically, effectively provide responsive coaching, and draw solid conclusions based on information provided. ·Comfortable engaging in challenging conversations with excellent conflict management and interpersonal skills and the ability to problem-solve social and emotional situations. ·Able to work both independently and as a team member. ·Relate effectively with diverse groups of people from varied social and economic communities. ·Able to work a flexible schedule but primarily Monday through Thursday 8AM- 5PM and Friday 8AM – 12PM and the occasional after-hours events. Salary and Benefits: ·$60,000-$65,000, dependent on experience. ·Medical, Dental, Vison, and Life Insurance covered 100% by the company for the employee. ·Vacation and sick leave. ·Flex time.
