Job Description Manage the purchasing and supply activities of goods and services to ensure an adequate supply of materials supporting company objectives. Negotiate supplier contracts, maintain relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers to manage inventory levels, cost targets, delivery expectations, and quality performance. Implement appropriate material management methodologies to support manufacturing. Job Duties
Administer day-to-day activities of all purchasing staff. Manage purchasing and supply chain activities to ensure timely supply of materials supporting company goals. Manage material supply for NPI projects, ensuring delivery per project plan. Support corporate and local policies and processes. Ensure effective use of company funds by securing the best value of goods and services. Drive supplier selection process and participate in supplier reduction programs with Purchasing Manager. Collaborate with Quality on supplier quality system approval and with Engineering on technical issues and supplier capabilities. Manage relationships with contract manufacturers, including inventory levels, cost structure, delivery schedules, and quality/performance metrics. Participate in decision-making and attend OTD meetings to resolve supply chain issues and analyze root causes for late shipments. Support Lean Sigma strategies for continuous improvement. Oversee Material Review Board (MRB). Provide analysis of material requirements based on forecasts and other methods. Participate as a member of new product introduction teams. Job Requirements Education*: Experience*: Seven or more years of related experience in supply chain management, including leadership roles. Experience with Lean supply chain methods. Skills: Excellent analytical and planning skills. CPM or CPIM certification is desirable. Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 quality management systems. Occasional international travel. Proficiency with relevant software tools. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Team-oriented mindset. Note:
