About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director of Insurance Planning to join their Wealth Strategies team. The successful candidate will be a key domain expert in personal insurance planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families. This includes a wide range of insurance products such as life insurance, annuities, long-term care, health, disability, and property/casualty insurance. The role is client-facing and involves working closely with the company's Wealth Advisors to provide thought leadership, analyze client insurance needs, and develop customized solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and insurance planning, with the ability to explain complex issues and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key responsibilities include working with financial advisors and clients to analyze insurance products in the context of tax and estate planning, communicating planning research, and establishing the company's brand in the high-net-worth channel.

Applicants for the Director of Insurance Planning position at the company should possess strong analytical skills, thought leadership, and an effective interpersonal style. Excellent public-speaking skills and a strong academic record are required, with a preference for candidates with strong mathematical skills and experience in estate planning analytical software and Excel. The role demands a high level of personal and professional integrity, and the ability to work in a team-based culture. The candidate must be client-service oriented, with a history of professional success, and be prepared for some travel. FINRA registration (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 or equivalent) and Insurance Licenses (Life, Variable, and/or Property/Casualty) are mandatory, with the company offering sponsorship for FINRA licensing. The position is suited to individuals who are bright, quantitative, and intellectually sophisticated, and who can build strong relationships both inside and outside the firm.
