As a Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care Rosemont office address: 5554 Clarcona Ocoee Road; Orlando, FL 32818 The Medical Assistant who is Bilingually proficient in both English and Spanish supports a team of APRN's that visit our most vulnerable patients in their homes. This position is based in the corporate office of CenterWell Orlando. Again, the House Call MA role is designed to support all CenterWell locations in the Orlando area, with a primary focus on accompanying providers to patients' homes rather than performing on-site administrative tasks. The position involves regular travel across all 25 locations, as well as to patient residences. Additionally, the role requires candidates to have at least one year of experience working with primary care providers (PCP), as well as familiarity with geriatric populations. Proficiency in common medical terminology and the ability to perform basic procedures such as phlebotomy and EKGs are also essential. Candidates without the background as listed would not meet the requirements for this position. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Required: Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified Phlebotomy experience Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience. Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
