About the Role
The Company is in search of a P&C Actuarial Practice Leader with a focus on Capital Modeling and Reserving. This executive-level role is pivotal in driving innovation and excellence within the actuarial function, particularly in the areas of capital adequacy, reserving strategy, and client-facing actuarial consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and enhancement of internal capital models to ensure regulatory compliance and support enterprise risk management. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the reserving process, ensuring sound methodologies, and effectively communicating results to stakeholders. Business development is a key aspect, requiring the candidate to serve as a senior actuarial advisor in client engagements and strategic partnerships.
Candidates for this role must be a Fellow of the CAS (FCAS) with a minimum of 15 years' actuarial experience in P&C insurance, specifically in capital modeling and reserving. A strong background in client-facing or business development roles is essential, as is a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NAIC, Solvency II, and IFRS 17. Proficiency in actuarial and modeling tools, including Igloo, R, and Python, is also required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leadership, with the ability to manage and inspire technical teams, and a passion for team development.
