The Company is seeking a Chair for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The successful candidate will be an accomplished, nationally recognized academic leader with a strong background in clinical service, education, and research. This role is pivotal in the strategic integration of services and will involve leading a large and diverse team of faculty, staff, and trainees. The Chair will be responsible for advancing the department's mission in all key areas and must be prepared to work closely with the institution to further its growth and expansion, particularly in the context of the new clinical outreach facilities and the expanding telehealth program.
Candidates for the Chair position must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. from an accredited institution, with board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology. Exceptional leadership qualities are essential, including the ability to inspire, lead, and mentor a large academic and clinical team. The role requires a strategic thinker who can contribute to the overall mission of the department and the institution. The Chair will be a vital partner in framing the strategic direction for the department and must be committed to the highest standards of patient care, education, and research. The position is open to individuals who meet the qualifications for appointment at the Associate Professor level or higher.
