Overview

The Forensic Clinical Program Director establishes, administers, and directs the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Program, a self-contained clinical team that provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to sixty-eight clients with serious mental illness who are involved with the criminal justice system. Key duties include: Responsibilities

Oversee the direct day-to-day clinical operations of the FACT Team, including staff scheduling, morning meetings, coordination among staff members, and evaluation of treatment activities to ensure high-quality care that meets individuals' changing needs. Hire, supervise, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team ensuring high-quality psychiatric treatment that is goal-directed, respectful, meaningful, and client-driven. Functions as a practicing clinician as part of the team. Supervise program documentation and case record management, ensuring compliance. Regularly review assessments, service plans, progress notes, and other records kept and written by staff. Provide the full spectrum of clinical treatment and rehabilitative support services to individuals served by the team, including home, community, and office visits, crisis intervention, completing clinical documentation, and participating in on-call duties. Operationalize evidence-based practices, including a harm-reduction, person-centered, recovery-based approach while instilling hope in those served. Promote effective and collaborative communication between co-workers, providers, external providers, regulators, and funders. Ensure all services are delivered in a manner consistent with agency procedures and all related state and federal regulations (NYS Office of Mental Health, Department of Health and Medicaid). Ensure all medication processes and procedures are followed. Participate in the development of an annual budget, monitor expenditures, and adhere to budgetary guidelines. Complete monthly billing for FACT services. Provide transportation to clients when necessary. In addition, an employee must be approved to drive agency and personal vehicles for business purposes by maintaining a valid NYS driver’s license and must be approved by the agency's vehicle insurance carrier. The employee must always drive in a safe manner and use all safety devices. Qualifications

NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor required. Three years' experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Experience working on an ACT or FACT Team preferred. Experience with the criminal justice systems and an understanding of how the service recipients are impacted. Three years of supervisory and management experience in a clinical setting; experience providing community-based clinical treatment (for example, mobile crisis, FACT) preferred. A combination of strong supervisory skills and clinical experience will be considered. Must have a strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person living with a mental illness to make their own decisions. Must be able to effectively work with all people and demonstrate skills and competence to establish supportive and trusting relationships with all individuals. Must uphold clients’ rights and personal preferences in treatment and treat everyone with respect and dignity. A valid and insurable NYS driver’s license. Must have own vehicle to use for business purposes. Agency vehicles are available for individual transportation. Benefits

$85,000 annual equivalent, $3,269.24 biweekly 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday. Daytime hours. On-call hours on a rotating schedule.
