FT - nights; PRN - as needed POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served Telemetry responsibilities Assign telemetry as ordered Provides continuous observation of telemetry monitors Recognizes any arrhythmias Documents monitor tracing Assists with trouble shooting telemetry Communicates findings to nursing staff and physicians on a regular basis Answers telephones and public inquiries appropriately Processes orders/consults accurately Conveys STAT orders to appropriate personnel immediately Maintains patient charts – identifies information/risk factors on chart Responds to call lights, directs request to appropriate staff Promotes customer service initiatives Maintains par levels on supplies All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED preferred Current BLS certification (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation) CPI/De-escalation training (obtain within 6 months) Completion of telemetry monitoring/arrhythmia training Successfully passes an arrhythmia interpretation examination annually Basic computer skills Good communication skills Seniority level
