MISS: Site Lead (Contingency) Belong, Connect, Grow with KBR! Program Summary The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. It includes base operations, Life Support Services, and advisory capabilities to the Iraqi Government, focusing on strategic economic planning, feasibility studies, technical reviews, and large-scale project management. KBR provides facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, foodservice, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services under this contract. Job Summary The Site Lead will be based in Iraq and support the OMSS contract for the U.S. Department of State. Responsibilities include supervising a team, assigning projects, coordinating schedules, and monitoring performance and quality. The duties listed are representative and not exhaustive. Please note: This position is located in Erbil, Iraq, and is contingent on award. Roles and Responsibilities Maintain a safe workplace, prioritizing safety at all times. Comply with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards, providing necessary documentation. Receive projects from the Country Manager or OMSS COR/ACOR as needed. Work independently within DoS policies, regulations, and guidelines. Manage and implement the Program Management Plan. Coordinate work priorities, methods, procedures, and programs. Develop and enforce procedures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Follow company and government regulations and statutes. Establish milestones, monitor schedules, and resolve program issues. Lead activities to meet performance, service, quality, and customer satisfaction goals. Review work orders, inspect projects, and ensure completion per SOW. Resolve performance and personnel issues with staff. Prepare project plans, schedules, and delegate duties. Implement policies and procedures for site operations. Submit work order requests and evaluate completed work. Report on work progress and infrastructure projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management or related field; experience managing trades or construction projects may substitute. 5-8 years of operational management experience in government programs. International experience, preferably in the Middle East, with cultural knowledge. Knowledge of project management, technical systems, and contract support principles. US Passport with at least one year validity, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Current USG Secret security clearance or MRPT certification required. Qualifications International experience, especially in harsh environments. Experience with government contracts. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel. Leadership skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects.
