Overview
Medical Science Liaison, Breast Oncology - Mid Atlantic. This is a US Medical Affairs, Field based role. Territory includes the following states: DC, VA, WV, OH.
Responsibilities
Present disease state and Daiichi Sankyo product-specific data to healthcare professionals (HCPs)
Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information
Identify and facilitate engagement of qualified investigators and study committees for DSI clinical research programs, investigator-initiated research study proposals, speakers for DSI Brand Speaker programs, and advisors for DSI scientific, clinical and marketing advisory boards
Gather customer insights regarding DSI and competitor products to inform medical and commercial decision-making
Attend select scientific meetings and professional conferences for continuing education and scientific exchange with key opinion leaders
Develop positive working relationships with local and regional internal stakeholders to enhance DSI HCP relationships
Apply appropriate methods to implement the FMA department strategy within the geography in alignment with Medical and Brand strategies
Complete administrative duties, including monthly expense reporting and field activity reporting
Represent the Medical Science Liaison function by participating in DSI meetings, functions and events
Additional Duties
Provide innovation in enhancing and developing professional relationships with national and regional healthcare opinion leaders and HCPs to provide medical and scientific support for DSI initiatives
Ability to anticipate trends and capitalize on opportunities
Lead special projects/initiatives
Assist in the development of team members
Represent FMA leadership at DSI meetings, functions and events
Qualifications Education Qualifications
(from an accredited college or university)
PharmD, MD, PhD, NP or PA in a health sciences-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience Qualifications
MSL/Sr. MSL: 1+ years’ experience in medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic or US-managed markets; oncology, clinical research, and medical education preferred
Principal MSL/Associate Director MSL: 5+ years’ experience in medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic or US managed markets; oncology, clinical research, and medical education preferred
Additional Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements
Ability to travel up to 60%
Compensation
Salary Range: $150,800.00 - $226,200.00
