Overview
Global Head of Investment Management Technology
will be accountable for shaping and executing a forward-looking global technology investment strategy that champions engineering excellence, agility, and innovation in close partnership with the Chief Information Officer, investment and operations professionals, and business stakeholders. This leader will oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions that enable and enhance front, middle, and back-office investment technologies across public and private strategies.
This role is pivotal in advancing the firm's digital transformation, strengthening its risk posture, and enabling faster, data-driven decision-making. By improving operational efficiency and aligning technology with strategic priorities, the AVP will directly contribute to the firm's growth and profitability objectives.
They will lead a global team of over 200 technology professionals (both direct and matrixed), with a global presence across the US, Asia and LATAM, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring seamless collaboration across geographies.
Responsibilities
Technology strategy and execution (50%)
Shape and execute a forward-looking global investment technology strategy in alignment with the firm's investment objectives that champions engineering excellence, agility, and innovation, supporting strategic growth and profitability goals of the organization.
Advance the firm's digital capabilities, enhancing its risk posture, and accelerating decision-making, operational efficiency, and speed to market.
Lead and evolve the global technology footprint to ensure the delivery of innovative, timely, and high-quality solutions that support co strategic objectives. This includes comprehensive oversight of front, middle, and back-office investment technologies across public and private strategies, inclusive of supporting data technology.
Own the full lifecycle of technology solutions—from discovery and design through development, implementation, and ongoing support. Set and manage project priorities aligned with business goals, ensuring system reliability and regulatory compliance, and optimizing total cost of ownership.
As may be needed for M&A activity, engage in technology due diligence, assessing the target company's investment management technology infrastructure, and developing integration plans; ensure a smooth transition of technology systems during and after the integration.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and internal governance frameworks.
Drive the adoption of modern technologies, data platforms, and cloud-native architectures to enhance investment decision-making and operational efficiency.
Industry and Stakeholder engagement (20%)
Partner closely with investment teams, product management, operations, and risk to understand business needs and deliver impactful technology solutions.
Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and technology budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery of solutions.
Play a key role in shaping the company's technology vision and guiding the strategic direction of the asset management business by actively participating in the company's AM Technology leadership team. Collaborate with governance and advisory groups, including the 40-Act Mutual Fund Board, committees, councils, and working groups. Foster strong relationships and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions to ensure alignment and drive collaboration. Partner closely with business leaders and peers across the organization to identify opportunities, address challenges, prioritize initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall value delivery.
Foster active engagement and collaboration with IT leaders across the broader organization, ensuring alignment, shared strategic goals, and effective representation of enterprise needs to PrinAM and of PrinAM needs to the enterprise.
Speak at and participate in industry events to share insights and strengthen the organizations presence in the market. Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with industry contacts to ensure a continuous exchange of external perspectives, thereby enhancing the company's brand awareness and positioning within the asset management landscape.

Qualifications
Educational & Professional Background: bachelors degree in computer science or a related field is required; a Masters degree or MBA is preferred. Candidates should bring a minimum of 15 years of relevant business management and systems technology experience, including at least 7 years in senior technology leadership roles with a proven track record of developing and executing front, middle, and back-office investment technologies across public and private strategies globally.
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the asset management industry, including financial, operational, and system-related aspects across both public and private asset classes. Experience navigating global jurisdictions and regulatory environments is highly valued. Strong knowledge of portfolio management systems, data platforms, analytics tools, and cloud technologies.
Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to craft and articulate a compelling investment technology vision that aligns with both business objectives. Brings a strategic mindset with a strong inclination to leverage data and insights to inform decisions and rally stakeholders around shared goals.
Execution & Results Orientation: Proven track record of setting ambitious, measurable goals and driving execution with accountability and integrity. Balances bold innovation with practical implementation, ensuring initiatives are both impactful and achievable.
