Position Overview The Investment Funds Regulatory Practice is seeking a highly qualified
Associate
with at least three years of relevant experience. This role offers the chance to advise on complex legal, regulatory, and compliance issues impacting investment funds and financial institutions, while working on high-profile matters with a team of experienced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
Counsel investment advisers, family offices, and other financial institutions on regulatory and compliance matters under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940
Advise on the formation and operation of private equity funds, private credit funds, hedge funds, and real estate funds
Support clients in structuring corporate transactions involving investment advisers and investment funds
Assist clients in SEC examinations, investigations, and enforcement proceedings, often in collaboration with white collar and litigation colleagues
Provide guidance on Investment Company Act issues, including status, structuring, and regulatory analysis
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Minimum of three years of relevant regulatory experience in asset management, investment funds, or related fields
Strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940
Experience with private equity and hedge fund formation is a plus
Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills
Admission to practice law in Illinois, New York, or Washington, D.C. (or ability to waive in)
