Overview Leader of Operations, Field Services, and Driving Mission

– We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Leader of Operations to lead our Field Services and Driving Mission. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing the operational strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of our field service deployments and the integration of driving technologies into our service operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex logistics, field operations, and emerging autonomous driving solutions, with a proven track record of scaling operations and driving efficiency.

Location Washington DC, San Francisco (SF), or Phoenix.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute operational strategies to ensure the efficient and effective deployment and maintenance of field services, including autonomous driving technologies.

Lead and manage a team of field service professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, service quality, and the performance of autonomous vehicles.

Optimize dispatching, routing, and scheduling processes for field service technicians and autonomous vehicles to maximize utilization and minimize costs.

Collaborate with engineering, product development, and R&D teams to integrate new autonomous driving features and enhancements into field operations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies for both field services and autonomous driving operations.

Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to achieve cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.

Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, and manage business reviews.

Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.

Develop strategic and tactical goals and objectives, analyze revenues and costs, and coordinate operations across various accounts.

Expand the scope of services for new markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a significant portion in field services or logistics.

Proven experience with autonomous driving technologies, robotics, or complex systems deployment.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Proficiency in operational software, fleet management systems, and data analytics tools.

Ability to travel to various field locations as required.
