Neel-Schaffer seeks responses from qualified applicants for the position of
Senior Project Engineer Roadway Design
to work in our Atlanta (GA) office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing highway/roadway corridors, interchanges, roadway widening and intersection safety improvements for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Task Management experience is advantageous but not a requirement for this position. Responsibilities Design highway/roadway corridors, interchanges, roadway widening and intersection safety improvements for GDOT. Collaborate with project teams to deliver plans and specifications in the GDOT PDP process.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 6 months. 615 years of progressive transportation/roadway design experience on transportation projects and knowledge of GDOTs PDP process, including concept development, preparation of plans (ROW and Construction), preparation of specifications and special provisions and preparation of engineering estimates. Experience in roadway plan production, OpenRoads, Geopack and Corridor Modeling. Strong verbal communication and analytical skills. Proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2, V81 SS10 and Open Roads Designer. Familiar with GDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Valid drivers license.
