Overview Join to apply for the Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives role at Monogram Health. The Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives will own, plan, and execute projects that are critical to company success. This role will be staffed to various high-priority initiatives across the company, up to and including full ownership of the initiative. This includes planning, leading, coordinating and operationalizing work across multiple teams; owning the business case and pro-forma; leading and supporting status updates to senior executives on a regular basis; using deep healthcare system knowledge to confront and brainstorm solutions to business challenges; earning and ensuring consistent leadership buy-in and prioritization. This role will be mission-aligned to Monogram’s commitment to high levels of patient care for some of the most vulnerable patient populations in America. This role will report to the VP, Strategic Initiatives within the office of the Chief Strategy Officer.

Responsibilities

Plans, designs, implements, and manages the early stages of strategic initiatives that are critical to Monogram’s long-term success

Works with other teams across the company (e.g., IT, Operations, HR, Finance) to plan and implement assigned strategic initiatives

Commitment to exceptional, patient-centric service delivery

Adept at translating corporate strategy into front line operational tactics without heavy corporate oversight

Process-focused and decisive to ensure effective execution of all strategies/initiatives to meet organizational needs with a high standard of excellence, urgency and predictability

Owns the business case, financial pro-forma, KPI development and accompanying materials throughout the strategic initiative process

Plans, builds decks, and presents updates to senior executives on a regular basis

Leads business implementation, development, and core growth efforts as needed

Responsible for external partner relationship / development strategy as initiatives require

Proactively engages internal support functions to optimize performance including clinical operations, information technology, revenue cycle management, data analytics, legal and compliance, finance, and human resources

Adept at navigating operational roadblocks and challenges using ingenuity, determination, and advocacy to achieve desired outcomes

Identifies and implements operational efficiencies and standardization, in collaboration with operational leadership

Participates in interviewing, hiring, orientation, onboarding, and recurring training of staff

Creates a great work environment and inspires teamwork and partnership at all levels

As needed, builds and conducts regular vendor oversight and performance reviews in line with vendor agreements

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to lead and manage a product development process: plan, drive cross-organizational accountability, clearly assign and follow-up on task completion, know when to best escalate to minimize delays

Deep understanding of the healthcare system: how different entities and participants interact with each other, including payers, PBMs, pharmacies, hospitals, community providers, and home providers. How these entities provide/dispense, achieve revenue and profitability, and the process steps in care delivery to payment for each

Advanced PowerPoint Skills are a major plus – ability to make professional client and executive facing slides that get the point across to audience

Ability to lead business case development on an initiative – research, problem identification, solution, operations design, financial case, potential challenges and solutions

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, private-equity healthcare environment. Comfortable with quick but reasonable deadlines.

Comfortable with regular exposure to senior leaders

Works well with ambiguity: able to propose answers and courses of action to ensure consistent momentum and to break inertia

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

10 years of experience in healthcare, with 3-5 years in building and operating products.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree including MBA, MPH, MBA.

Experience leading large scale projects spanning both medical and pharmacy areas

Brentwood, TN or Tempe, AZ in-office preferred
