Overview
Senior CBRN Defense Analyst
supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Division (AF/A10S), Operational Analysis Branch (AF/A10SA), on behalf of Air Force Installation Management Support Center (AFIMSC) and United States Air Force Europe-Air Force Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). Work will be performed onsite in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Provide technical analysis to address questions in the CWMD operations arena (non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike, counter-air/space actions) as it relates to USAFE‑AFAFRICA’s ability to survive and operate (ATSO) and CBRN defense technical domains.
Provide technical research and operational evaluations to assess, interpret, shape, and advise AF/A10S, on behalf of AFIMSC and USAFE‑AFAFRICA, regarding what operational and scientific testing results mean to operators (e.g., pilot, navigator, aircrew, loadmasters, maintainers, defenders).
Apply results of laboratory and field testing (DoD, allied or partner testing) that support the development of CBRN equipment performance criteria, technical reports and operational concepts for USAFE‑AFAFRICA and AFIMSC.
Develop and recommend concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and exercises to address and mitigate deficiencies associated with emerging CBRN threats and evolving Air Force employment strategies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience.
Clearance:
Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements, developing and implementing strategic and tactical planning actions, and making recommendations for the direction of the agency’s efforts, including developing short- and long-range force development plans for major operations environments.
Expert experience with installation-level CBRN defense planning, elements of JOPES, and knowledge of Operational Plans (OPLANS).
Specialized expertise in installation-level CBRNE attack response procedures within the context of major combat operations and technical analysis of CBRN threats.
Expert knowledge of DoD CBRN Defense Operations in MCO environments, including aircrew-related operations.
Familiarity with DoD CWMD operations and doctrine.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office products.
