Job Description The Bookkeeper/Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of Regan Digital Studios and will work closely with RCG’s Chief Financial Officer and leadership team to manage financial operations. This hands-on role will involve overseeing accounts payable and receivable, expense oversight, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in the marketing, advertising, or public relations industry, and will bring an organized, proactive approach to all financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions in the accounting system (QuickBooks). Ensure that financial transactions are recorded properly, reconciled, and supported by appropriate documentation. There will be inter-company transactions, postings are not limited to one set of books.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are paid timely, with proper documentation for expenses. Manage accounts receivable by generating and sending client invoices, monitoring payments, and following up on overdue accounts. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliations and Credit Management

Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly, ensuring that all transactions align with company records. Review credit card charges and ensure proper categorization in the financial systems. This is not done through linked accounts in QuickBooks and includes intercompany transactions.

Intercompany Reconciliation

Create and verify that each intercompany transaction has a matching entry in the ledger of the counterparty, with aligning amounts, currencies, posting dates and other details and resolve all discrepancies.

Financial Analysis and Support

Support the Chief Financial Officer and senior management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. Provide ongoing financial analysis and insights to assist the leadership team in making informed business decisions. Assist with financial audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Familiarity with marketing, advertising, or public relations is a plus.

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
