Donaldson is seeking an experienced leader to serve as
Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisition Integration
at Donaldson. This role will be responsible for continuing to shape and execute integration strategies that unlock the full value of our acquisitions. This highly visible role will ensure that acquired businesses are seamlessly aligned with Donaldson’s corporate and business unit goals, driving both short-term results and long-term success. This role will be based at our Bloomington, MN headquarters. Role Responsibilities
Lead integration planning and execution for strategic corporate initiatives including M&A, strategic investments, and other strategic corporate partnerships Work closely with broader M&A team to understand deal pipeline and prepare timelines for diligence, post-acquisition planning, and execution Partner with business unit to develop comprehensive integration strategies that align with long-term business goals Define key milestones, KPIs, and workstreams aligned with transaction rationale Lead cross-functional teams to align in processes and systems, mitigate risks, remove roadblocks, and proactively resolve issues Design and implement governance structures, decision-making frameworks, and communication plans to drive transparency and alignment across teams Serve as the primary leader and point of contact for post-merger integration activities to manage workstreams, ensure accountability, and report on progress and risks Collaborate with executive sponsors and acquired company leaders to ensure smooth cultural and operational integration Track and report progress against synergy targets, KPIs, and timelines Support due diligence by identifying integration risks and estimating resource needs Foster a culture of continuous improvement by refining and evolving the integration playbook, tools, and best practices Mentor junior team members Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, or a related field 10+ years of experience in corporate development, consulting, or operational leadership 5+ years of leadership and project management skills across complex, cross-functional initiatives 5+ years of experience in any of these key functional areas (Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Operations) Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience influencing key stakeholders to drive results MBA Understanding of M&A lifecycle, due diligence, and post-closing integration best practices Direct experience with multi-national or multi-sector M&A integrations, enterprise transformation, or large-scale change initiatives Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to effectively present to senior management Must be comfortable with periods of very intense activity, long hours, and tight deadlines Familiarity with post-merger cultural integration and change management Experience with tools and methodologies for project/program management Industry experience in life sciences or other technology-driven industries Travel
Up to 25% Annual Salary Range
$169,700 - $227,100. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance. Compensation & Benefits
