The Dean, Curriculum, Assessment & Accreditation is directly responsible for academic leadership to create learning environments for students offering a rigorous learning program while maximizing student success. Provides the academic vision, leadership, and policy direction required to achieve the highest standards of excellence in instruction, with measurable outcomes, for faculty and students. Responsible for the development, recommendation, and evaluation of innovative curriculum and for transformative teaching and learning. This role aligns the colleges academic programming with workforce needs, enhancing student success, and advancing institutional excellence through strategic curriculum innovation, integration of credit and non-credit programs, building pathways from high school to career and/or transfer, enrollment initiatives, and continuous improvement processes. Responsible for the hiring, development, and evaluation of the faculty and staff employed in their department. Minimum Requirements

Earned Masters degree, doctorate preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education curriculum development, academic administration, or a related area. Minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience, the experiences may be concurrent. Knowledge of principles of pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, external accreditation, and student success required. Class Specific Essential Duties

Develop, articulate, and present the vision for Curriculum, Assessment and Accreditation. Work collaboratively with Academic School and Continuing Education leadership to integrate academic journeys for students across the credit and non-credit continuum. Build college processes to develop new curriculum and review/revise existing curriculum to ensure programmatic strengthening and expansion. Facilitate the creation of timely class schedules based on student needs and institutional resources. Hire, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff. Oversee budget preparation and management. Position Specific Essential Duties

In collaboration with credit and Continuing Education programs, lead the creation and expansion of stackable credentials, competency-based education, microcredentials, and credit for prior learning options to increase student retention and completion momentum. Foster innovation in curriculum design in collaboration with faculty, industry partners, and leadership to ensure alignment with labor market trends, accreditation standards, and regional workforce needs. Support the development of curriculum crosswalks and pathways that enable students to transition directly from high school to CCBC and from CCBC to four-year partners seamlessly. Utilize data to identify areas for student intervention and drive efforts that improve retention and graduation rates. Lead college-wide classroom assessment efforts. Lead the assessment and monitoring of external accreditation standards to ensure the colleges compliance and continuous improvement. Serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the MSCHE and assist with ensuring the college documents evidence of accreditation standard compliance. Serve as the CCBC Academic Affairs point of contact with the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Supervise areas such as curriculum innovation, transfer and degree acceleration, student achievement and success, guided pathways, and learning outcomes assessment. Benefits
