Agile Consultant

JPI . We are seeking experienced Agile Consultants to join our onsite team in the Washington, DC area. In this role, you will advise, guide, and support large-scale, mission-critical initiatives within secure government environments. The ideal candidates will bring strong backgrounds in strategic consulting and Agile transformation, helping organizations adopt, scale, and optimize Agile delivery models. This role is contingent upon funding award and requires onsite presence at the USCG St. Elizabeths campus three days per week. Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to program leadership and stakeholders on Agile strategy, execution, and governance. Lead and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, roadmap development, and cross-team coordination. Coach executives, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams on Agile principles and best practices. Establish and refine program-level metrics, dashboards, and reporting to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. Proactively identify delivery risks, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement. Support the adoption of scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Disciplined Agile) within complex organizations. Advise on Agile portfolio management practices to ensure alignment of investments with organizational priorities. Key requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 8–10 years of program or portfolio management experience, including at least 5 years in Agile delivery. Demonstrated success in implementing and scaling Agile across large, complex organizations. Strong facilitation, coaching, and change management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or other advanced Agile certification. Experience working in federal government or defense-sector environments. Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. Seniority level
