6-12 months # of Open Positions : 2 (1 lubrication specialty, 1 PM optimization specialty) Scope This position assists on project or contract as a Reliability Engineer focused on industrial manufacturing equipment preventative maintenance optimization and/or lubrication. This role may act as a project team leader when assigned. The Reliability Engineer ensures reliability and maintainability of equipment and installations. The Reliability Engineer will work closely with Operations and Maintenance to identify and implement improvements to the design and maintenance processes. Reliability Engineer implements maintenance schedules and failure modes and effects analysis processes to ensure long-lasting and high-quality products. Defines the proper preventive maintenance plans for critical assets. Manages risks that could adversely affect plant operations. Defines and implements small technical engineering projects. A qualified candidate will be process driven, a high level SAP user, and have a strong understanding of process flow and value streams in an industrial manufacturing environment with 7+ years of reliability and maintenance engineering experience. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities Ensure compliance with and optimization of occupational safety measures in plants and during maintenance work Support operations and maintenance to improve equipment reliability Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs Perform root cause analysis on failure data Lead problem solving teams to identify, design and implement improvements Have a focus on resolving maintainability issues, improve lubrication programs, organize effective and efficient preventative maintenance programs, lower maintenance costs, and improve productivity Responsible for preliminary engineering (costing, budgeting) and optimization projects (execution, deadline, quality) and coordinate projects with the maintenance teams Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, defining the appropriate preventive maintenance measures and support planned shutdowns Support maintenance in defining the proper maintenance strategy for plant assets Support the optimization of work preparation and improvement of maintenance plans Engineering support for spare parts management and warehouse organization for the assigned plant area Define, in cooperation with production, the appropriate operational parameters to monitor to ensure maximum equipment lifetime Collaborate with suppliers to improve reliability and maintainability of plant equipment Perform risk analysis on installations and technical processes Develop engineering solutions to recurrent failures and problems to affect plant availability Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and technical staff Required Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills) 7+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance reliability engineering in an industrial production environment is required HS Diploma or GED required at a minimum, vocational/technical school graduate and/or Technical Associates Degree preferred Previous experience with SAP for CMMS or similar system is ideal Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Basic working knowledge of industry specific systems *Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer; client is not able to provide sponsorship or visa transfer at this time *Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check to be eligible for hire Seniority level
