Why Box Needs You We’re looking for an ex-journalist who thrives on breaking stories, shaping narratives, and elevating editorial standards. As Editorial Lead, you’ll operate as our in-house journalist — spotting newsworthy angles, producing differentiated thought leadership, and coaching colleagues to deliver publication-quality work. Your mandate is to build a reliable, high-velocity cadence of exceptional content that positions Box as a top-tier authority on AI, unstructured data, and the future of work—while also driving mid-funnel engagement through crisp product explainers and customer stories.

What You'll Do

Story Mining & Pitching – Constantly surface and prioritize timely, audience-first story ideas that only Box can tell.

Fast Drafting & Writing – Produce agenda-setting news features, thought-leadership articles, and product explainers that resonate with CIOs, builders, and knowledge workers.

Editing line-edit all major pieces to ensure clarity, voice, and factual rigor.

Quality Standards & Style Guide – Define and enforce newsroom-grade processes, fact-checking, and ethical guidelines.

Source Development – Build relationships with internal subject-matter experts, data analysts, and customers to surface exclusive insights and anecdotes.

Contributor Coaching – Level-up internal SMEs and freelance writers with feedback, workshops, and briefing materials.

Multimedia & SEO Integration – Work with video, design, and SEO teams to package stories for maximum visibility.

Who You Are
