Overview
Litigation Associate, Personal Injury to Asbestos, based in Tampa, FL. Base salary target:
$120,000–$160,000
with eligibility for additional bonus. Role starts in-office with a hybrid schedule after training. Focus on mesothelioma/asbestos litigation with comprehensive training provided.
Responsibilities
Conduct written discovery, depositions, motion drafting and advocacy
Participate in trials as second chair; collaborate with senior attorneys
Manage cases in mesothelioma/asbestos matters and coordinate with clients and families
Work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to the Florida Bar
1+ years of personal injury litigation preferred; experience in medical-related litigation is ideal
Willingness to travel approximately 8 trips per month (mostly 1–2 nights); some local day trips; possible national travel
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; excellent client-facing skills
Commitment to plaintiff advocacy and sound judgement; ability to meet deadlines
Compensation & Benefits Base salary target:
$120,000–$160,000
with flexibility for seniority. Salary is commensurate with experience. Bonus based on performance and cases closed. Benefits include health, dental & vision insurance (premiums for individual and family paid), life insurance, Health Savings Account, 401(k) with 3%+ employer contribution, 20 days of PTO, holidays, paid parking, and more.
Travel Travel is approximately 8 trips per month, mostly 1–2 night trips. Local day trips are possible; occasional national travel for depositions, trials, and meetings with other teams.
