Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, contract disputes, real estate litigation, employment law, and other civil matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents in support of litigation strategies.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of complex issues to advise clients and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.
Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and ensure timely progression of cases.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Engage in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
Handle all aspects of trial preparation, including trial briefs, witness preparation, exhibit management, and courtroom strategy.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the State Bar of [Insert State].
2-5 years of civil litigation experience.
Strong understanding of civil procedure, local court rules, and litigation processes.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases with competing deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
Experience in personal injury, real estate, and/or business litigation.
Trial experience or substantial pre-trial preparation experience.
Ability to work with various legal technology platforms for document management and case tracking.
