Summary:
This position is responsible for developing strong relationships with employer partners to ensure that clients participating in A Safe Haven’s Employment & Education services are connected with sustainable employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with employer partners.
Oversee agreements, contracts, and processes for each employer partner.
Support employer participation by gathering input on program expectations, hiring needs, and training alignment.
Identify employment opportunities for clients based on their specific career goals and available employment partner opportunities.
Manage grant funded and social enterprise positions, coordinating with internal partners to ensure all funding, data, and agreements are in compliance with funder guidelines.
Support professional instruction on employment services skills including job search strategies, career planning, networking, resume and portfolio development, and interviewing.
Support classroom visits, information sessions, and targeted recruitment campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop materials that communicate program opportunities and expectations.
Monitor retention of employment placements at 30, 60, 90 and 180 days.
Assess, maintain and submit accurate, timely and complete case notes, documentation, and files for founders as well as the agency’s internal reporting systems, regarding clients, including: all interactions, training, supportive services, job search, job placement programs, termination and follow-up activities. Complies with all reporting guidelines specified by funding agency.
Compliance and Operational Administration
Achieve all accreditation minimum placements percentage requirements by program.
Ensure participants' employment information is maintained up to date in an official participant database system, following all policies and procedures.
Ensure regular use of official participants database system to report participants' contact activity, employer contact activity, job opportunities, and employments.
Upload regulatory career services documents into official participant database system.
Work closely with the third-party verification company to meet all regulatory requirements regarding placement verification.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required: Development Software; Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Contract Management Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); E-mail Software (Outlook); and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
Other skills required:
Preferred minimum of three – five years of experience in account or relationship management.
Previous experience in social service, case managing, employment coaching, counseling, job placement or related field with employment focus.
Proficiency in MS Office, and internet search.
Ability to create and work a plan that will result in achieving positions, goals and outcomes.
Excellent relationships building and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.
Ability to create and track detailed documentation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently to achieve daily tasks.
Ability to think creatively and provide solutions with available resources.
