Overview
HR Coordinator (8912 - HR) Hybrid Remote Position at EAH Housing. This is a full-time role based at the EAH Housing Corporate Offices in San Rafael, CA with a hybrid remote schedule (3 days remote / 2 days in-person). Position Overview
Under general supervision and on your own initiative, the HR Coordinator performs a wide variety of support and administrative activities in employment, benefits, employee relations, training and related areas. You will help ensure department data and records are complete and accurate, and provide excellent customer service to employees. You will support EAH’s mission and core values. Responsibilities
Recruitment: assist with posting on job boards, tracking posting expenses in HRIS, coordinating job fairs, conducting references, monitoring background screens and fingerprinting, drafting employment documents, and supporting diversity reporting. Onboarding: assist with onboarding new employees, including guiding new hires and managers through new hire paperwork and I-9 verification, and scheduling orientation. May assist Learning Managers with coordinating and conducting employee training. Updates/streamlines all job descriptions and maintains them in the HRIS. Produces employee communications and helps maintain department knowledge management. Workers' Compensation: ensure employees submit status reports after visits and alert the Safety Manager to modified work requirements. Notifies HR Business Partner and others about possible leaves of absence; coordinates Temporary Alternative Work program to minimize lost time, as applicable. Employee Relations: may assist with investigations and documentation review, maintain counseling logs, update/verify the employee roster in SuccessFactors, and support morale events. Post-employment claims: process routine unemployment claims and document results; coordinate responses with the HR team as needed. Ensure all work-related documents are stored and labeled appropriately; maintain HR forms on OneDrive, intranet, and SharePoint. Enter data into the HRIS and generate reports as requested; assist with coding HR-related invoices for payment. Coordinate with Community Relations for press releases on major promotions and new hires. Assist with special projects and correspondence; maintain regular and predictable attendance; participate in safety programs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; 2+ years HR administrative experience. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Desirable Additional Qualifications
Experience with HRIS. English-Spanish bilingual preferred. Compensation
Salary range: $28.50 - $45.00 per hour. Hiring range for new employees is generally $28.50 - $36.50 per hour, DOE. Offer will consider experience and current salary level at EAH in a similar role. Criminal Background Check Requirements
EAH Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. You will be required to submit to and pass our criminal background requirements. EAH also verifies education and employment history. Some roles may require fingerprinting. If onsite housing is required, household members over 18 living with you must also undergo a background check and tenant screening. Satisfactory completion is a requirement of employment. Drug Testing
