Plum Paper is looking for a
Digital Marketing Specialist
to support paid media, e-mail marketing, and web & data analysis. The Digital Marketing Specialist will drive revenue and conversions, with a focus on both new customer acquisition and customer retention. The person in this role will specialize in e-commerce best practice and use data-driven insights to optimize and propel our strategy forward.
This is an on-site position. We are looking for someone who is skilled, curious, committed to ongoing learning and highly collaborative. To succeed in this position, you will be willing to roll up your sleeves and execute tactical work, juggle multiple priorities, while navigating a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Additional compensation types

Multichannel Campaign Management:
Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, Pinterest, and Reddit. Performance Measurement & Optimization:
Track and analyze key metrics — CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate — and use data-driven insights to tweak bids, budgets, targeting, and ad creative for continuous improvement. Budget Allocation & Pacing:
Manage and forecast channel budgets, ensuring efficient spend pacing to hit monthly and quarterly targets while maximizing ROI. Testing & Iteration:
Develop and execute structured A/B tests for ad creatives, audiences, and bidding strategies; iterate quickly based on test outcomes. Creative Collaboration:
Work with designers to produce high‑impact assets; provide performance feedback to guide creative refinement. Advanced Targeting & Segmentation:
Implement audience segmentation and retargeting strategies—lookalike modeling, interest targeting, and custom audiences—to reach high‑intent users. Reporting & Insights:
Deliver regular performance reports with actionable recommendations; present learnings and strategic adjustments to stakeholders. Continuous Learning & Best Practices:
Stay current on platform updates, industry trends, and emerging channels; share best practices with the wider marketing team to elevate our paid media. Copywriting & Brand Voice Alignment:
Write and refine ad copy that engages and converts while ensuring tone, messaging, and calls-to-action are consistent with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. Email & SMS Marketing Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement data‑driven email campaigns that nurture leads, retain customers, and drive conversions. List Growth & Churn Management:
Plan and execute lead‑capture initiatives, subscriber‑growth tactics, and churn‑reduction strategies to expand and maintain a healthy email audience. Automation & Flows:
Design, build, and optimize automated email journeys—including welcome, re‑engagement, and transactional workflows—using Klaviyo’s advanced segmentation and flow features. SMS Campaign Management:
Plan, execute, and optimize SMS campaigns—including promotional blasts, automated journeys, and time-sensitive alerts—while monitoring deliverability, compliance (TCPA, CTIA), and performance to drive engagement and conversions. Performance & Reporting:
Monitor key metrics (open, click, conversion, unsubscribe rates), lead A/B tests, and analyze results to continuously refine content, timing, and targeting. Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure all email programs adhere to privacy regulations (CASL, CAN‑SPAM) and industry deliverability standards. Copywriting & Brand Voice Alignment:
Craft compelling subject lines, body copy, and calls-to-action that resonate with target audiences while maintaining consistent tone and messaging. Preferred Experience
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for troubleshooting emails. Experience with Google Looker Studio or GA4. Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience Background in e-commerce or DTC Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Marketing, Digital Analysis or a similar field Proficient with Klaviyo: list segmentation, A/B testing, automations, campaign QA, and reporting. Familiar with SendGrid for transactional email sends and optimizations Familiar with full-funnel lifecycle strategies—from lead capture to post-purchase engagement. Experience improving deliverability, open rates, and conversion through best practices and experimentation. Competent in Google Analytics, Klaviyo reporting, Meta Ads Manager, and spreadsheets/dashboards. Experience running and optimizing campaigns across Meta, Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Shopping). Strong understanding of performance metrics like CPA, ROAS, CTR, and how to improve them. Capable of managing budgets, structuring tests, and iterating creative with a performance mindset. Ability to interpret data and confidently make performance-based decisions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with datasets to extract actionable insights Customer service mindset: experience in customer service or stakeholder-facing roles. Detail-oriented: QA’ing emails, links, ad copy, and UTMs. Analytical: comfortable digging into data to draw meaningful conclusions and drive performance. Collaborative: strong communicator who works well cross-functionally and manages competing priorities diplomatically. Self-starter: able to take ownership, manage deadlines, and propose new initiatives without waiting for direction. Curious & adaptive: keeps up with channel and platform changes and actively seeks opportunities to test and grow.
