for our Neurosciences Service Line at the DCAM - Hyde Park location. The Neurosciences Practice Manager oversees a diverse portfolio of clinics—neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-infusion, and sleep medicine—supporting complex patient populations across the neuroscience continuum. In addition to ambulatory operations, the Practice Manager will have project management responsibilities focused on key initiatives within the Neurosciences, including but not limited to strategic planning, quality improvement, and patient experience. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of neuroscience care at UChicago Medicine. Essential Job Functions
Day to day management of practice operations Oversight of practice specific issues with IS, facilities, EVS, supplies, etc Ensures practice compliance with regulatory agencies (i.e. JCAHO, IDPH, CAP/CLIA) Collaborates with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient throughput Participates in service recovery at the point of issue. Ensures necessary follow-up Responsible for performance management and performance evaluations for direct reports Collaborates closely with all scheduling groups (i.e. Burr Ridge call center, OR scheduling) to identify areas of opportunity to improve scheduling accuracy and fill rates Monitors the operating budget for labor and non-labor expenses; develops annual budget in collaboration with service line leadership; builds proformas to evaluate new programs and technologies Oversees charge entry, denials, disputes and billholds to understand changes in trends Champion for neurosciences process improvement initiatives and leverage project management tools to continuously improve and optimize workflows across care settings. Collaborate with physician and administrative leaders to design, implement, and monitor growth strategies across key neurosciences programs Develop timelines, deliverables, and accountability frameworks for projects spanning across the neurosciences service line. Provide project updates and executive-level reports to leadership. Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in healthcare related field 5+ years of experience in healthcare and customer service, ideally overseeing an ambulatory practice framework Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage large and complex organizational units with varying needs Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physician leaders, preferably in an academic medical center environment Exceptional talent in the selection and mentoring of a high-quality team Proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience using LEAN for performance Improvement is desirable Preferred Qualifications

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
