As Superpower’s

DevOps Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in developing, deploying, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our applications. You'll collaborate closely with software engineers to build efficient CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and implement best practices to ensure seamless delivery in an event-driven architecture. With your expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and various modern technologies, you’ll drive the optimization and performance of our platform, while adhering to healthcare compliance and security standards like HIPAA and FHIR.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain scalable

cloud infrastructure

on

AWS , leveraging

EKS ,

ECR ,

CloudFront ,

RDS , and

S3

for optimal application performance.

Orchestrate container deployments using

Kubernetes

to ensure efficient cloud resource management.

Build and maintain automated

CI/CD pipelines

with

Github Actions

for seamless code deployment.

Drive infrastructure automation using

Terraform

and

Ansible

for consistent and reliable provisioning.

Partner with development teams to deploy and optimize

Node.js

and

Golang

applications, while ensuring best practices for

Typescript

and

React .

Implement

FHIR data modeling & storage

solutions that meet healthcare standards and enable efficient data integration.

Design and maintain an

Event-Driven Architecture

using

RabbitMQ

for messaging and

Redis

for caching.

Architect highly available and scalable systems, with expertise in

PostgreSQL

performance optimization.

Implement robust observability and reliability at scale, leveraging tools like

New Relic

and

Prometheus .

Maintain strict compliance with

HIPAA

and

GDPR

regulations through robust security measures.

Drive continuous improvement through

Agile development

practices and cross-team collaboration.

Lead system performance optimization and incident resolution efforts.

On call one week out of every month for high priority issues.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a

DevOps Engineer , specializing in cloud-based systems and infrastructure automation.

Advanced proficiency with

AWS

services, including

EKS ,

EC2 ,

ECR ,

ELB ,

VPC ,

CloudFront ,

RDS , and

S3 .

Expert-level experience with

Kubernetes

for container orchestration and cloud-native application scaling.

Strong command of

Node.js

and

Typescript

in production environments.

Proven experience with either

Golang ,

Python ,

Typescript

or another language.

Bonus: Experience working with event-driven architectures.

Bonus: Understanding of

Protobuf

for efficient data serialization and transfer.

Deep expertise in

PostgreSQL

database management and performance optimization.

Experience with

RabbitMQ

message brokers and

Redis

caching solutions.

Proven track record with

GitHub Actions

for CI/CD

Bonus: Experience with

Windmill

for task orchestration.

Bonus: Comprehensive understanding of

FHIR data modeling

and

healthcare data standards .

Mastery of containerization tools including

Docker ,

Kubernetes , and

Helm .

Extensive experience with

Infrastructure as Code

using

Terraform ,

Ansible

or

CloudFormation .

Demonstrated success building cloud-native and

event-driven architecture

solutions.

Excellence in system troubleshooting and rapid problem resolution.

Proven track record maintaining healthcare compliance standards including

HIPAA

and

GDPR .

Strong collaborative skills with experience mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications in

AWS ,

Kubernetes , or related DevOps fields.

Experience with

DevOps tools

including

Git Actions ,

Terraform ,

Ansible ,

Grafana ,

APM ,

Kubernetes

and

ELK Stack .

Background in

health tech

or

healthcare , with knowledge of industry-specific challenges and regulations.
