Director of Brand & Marketing Operations Slingshot Biosciences is a fast-growing life sciences company with a platform technology and mission to make precision-engineered cell mimics the gold standard for all cell-based assay controls. Location : Emeryville, CA. This position is Remote .

Key Responsibilities

Refine scientific and product content to align with Slingshot’s brand voice, tone, and positioning

Serve as the brand steward across all marketing channels (web, email, social, events, collateral)

Ensure consistency and quality across customer-facing messaging and assets

Own campaign execution workflows—briefs, timelines, launch checklists, and performance reviews

Manage campaign calendars and coordinate cross-functional contributors

Oversee day-to-day work of a Marketing Associate, ensuring project alignment and execution excellence

Ensure campaigns are launched on time and meet stated goals

Own and optimize the marketing tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Shopify, Google Analytics, LookerStudio, etc.)

Drive integration across platforms to ensure seamless data flow and reporting

Evaluate and implement new tools to support growth, automation, and team productivity

Define and track KPIs for brand and campaign performance

Build dashboards and reporting structures to provide visibility into ROI and marketing efficiency

Partner with sales and business development to align metrics and improve lead handoff

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field

8+ years of experience in marketing operations, brand management, or campaign execution—preferably in life sciences or biotech

Prior experience managing or mentoring junior marketing team members

Deep familiarity with marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics tools

Strong editorial instincts and experience refining complex or scientific content for diverse audiences

Analytical mindset with a bias for action and continuous optimization

Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this full-time position is between $130,000 - $185,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications.
