Overview
Warehouse Manager responsible for strategic management of the warehouse in line with the company's policies and vision, supervising receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations, and ensuring efficient space usage and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities
Strategic management of the warehouse in accordance with the company's policies and vision. Supervises receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. Setting up the layout and ensuring efficient use of space. Initiating, coordinating and implementing optimal operating policies and procedures. Adhering to warehousing and material handling rules and requirements. Adhering to health and safety, hygiene regulations. Managing inventory control and ensuring reconciliation with the data storage system. Liaising with customers, suppliers and other departments within the company. Planning the work schedule, properly assigning tasks and evaluating results. Hiring, selecting, orienting, training and motivating employees. Preparing regular reports and statistics (Incoming/Outgoing goods status report, on-hand inventory report, etc.). Receiving feedback and monitoring the quality of services provided. Quality Assurance: monitor and ensure warehouse workers handle products properly and follow the storage and handling instructions on the boxes. Leadership: manage the performance, development, and competency of warehouse workers and maintain discipline and adherence to company policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities
ATTENDANCE: ensure that warehouse workers adhere to working hours and organize any overtime. QUALITY ASSURANCE: ensure products are handled in the warehouse in accordance with operating instructions, maintain accurate inventory records, protect product quality, and comply with environmental protection regulations. Coordinate with the environmental engineer. ORDER AND CLEANLINESS (5S): ensure the warehouse area is tidy and clean; designate storage areas; materials status is clearly identifiable during all activities. MATERIAL HANDLING MACHINES: ensure that only personnel with the appropriate license operate material handling machines. LABOR AND FIRE PROTECTION: ensure compliance with labor, fire and accident protection rules; cooperate with the company's labor protection specialists. WORKFORCE: ensure adequate number and qualification of personnel with the Warehouse Supervisor, shift managers and team leaders to carry out daily tasks. EVALUATIONS: provide information to the Division Head for employee performance evaluations and participate in the development of such evaluations. REPORT: fulfill administrative requirements during warehouse activities and maintain reports and KPIs as described in operational instructions. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies Excellent communication skills; able to communicate constructively with colleagues Strong organizational skills to effectively manage warehouse tasks Flexibility in working hours and overtime Accurate, precise work Commitment to professional development Excellent organizational and conflict management skills Strong leadership abilities High level of knowledge in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience in SAP and different WMS software Lives in Houston or the surrounding area Seniority level
