Director of Engineering
and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our property. As the Director of Engineering, you will oversee a dynamic team and be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all engineering operations for our properties on Mackinac Island to ensure seamless operations and a superior guest experience. Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize engineering operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of the property's infrastructure and systems.
Manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to drive excellence.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering services.
Implement sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives to promote energy conservation.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director required
Hotel, institutional, HVAC systems experience of 3-5 years
Refrigeration, HVAC certification
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems, etc.
Budget management, cost control and financial responsibility experience with stationary engineering licensed preferred. Valid driver’s license.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members
