About the Senior Tax Accountant Opportunity: Join a respected boutique CPA firm serving clients throughout New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to work in a collaborative environment with personalized client service and career growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
Research tax issues and ensure compliance with current tax regulations
Assist with tax planning strategies and provide recommendations to minimize tax liability
Support tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries
Mentor junior staff and review their work for accuracy
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters
Stay current with tax law changes and communicate impacts to the team
Required Qualifications
Accounting degree
(Bachelor's degree preferred)
3-6 years of tax accounting experience
( public accounting essential )
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Proficiency in tax preparation software (CCH, Thomson Reuters, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
