Micron Technology is seeking a multifaceted and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead initiatives within our Cloud Memory Business Unit (CMBU). This role involves identifying and developing opportunities with the next wave of Data Center Artificial Intelligence acceleration designs in North America. You will drive preference and adoption of Micron’s memory solutions, including HBM, LPDDR, GDDR, and DDR, and other advanced memory products. The focus is on engaging with both established and emerging AI hardware companies, understanding their needs, and building strong relationships.
Responsibilities
Manage existing engagements: Partner with Sales to supervise and champion relationships with current customers. Ensure ongoing collaboration and commercial success by strategically managing these engagements, encouraging long-term partnerships, and driving mutual growth.
Market analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Identify new key customers and partnerships within target markets. Collaborate with Micron Ventures to uncover and capitalize on emerging opportunities, positioning Micron at the forefront of innovation.
Customer development: Engage with selected customers to secure design wins. Cultivate and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers; leverage influence to drive preference and adoption of Micron’s memory solutions.
Industry influence: Engage with key decision-makers within the industry and at customer organizations to influence adoption of Micron’s memory solutions.
Capture requirements: Gather and detail technical and business requirements from potential and existing customers to align Micron's offerings with market needs and the roadmap.
Facilitate collaboration: Work with internal partners to drive strategic alignment and business direction.
Supervise market dynamics: Analyze, report, and educate on the latest trends in the Data Center AI hardware marketplace to inform strategic decisions.
Strategic exploration: Lead and participate in initiatives to explore new business models and opportunities for memory solutions in the Data Center AI space.
Education and Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of related experience in business development management or similar roles.
MBA or advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field is a plus.
Strong background in semiconductors, AI hardware/software ecosystems, or related technology industries. ASIC design and foundry experience is a plus.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional strategy projects and engage with executive-level stakeholders. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Experience with customer-facing roles.
Compensation and Benefits The US base salary range Micron estimates for this full-time position is: $182,000.00 – $309,000.00. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location; the displayed range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations. Within the range, pay is determined by location and other factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and education. The pay scale is subject to change.
