Overview
Director, Industrial & Medical Market Strategy & Business Development at onsemi. We are seeking a strategic marketing and business development director with experience in industrial and medical markets, focusing on analog and/or processor ICs. You have a deep experience from strategy to GTM—the role involves identifying market trends, working with global product-centric business units and sales to drive new product requirements and opportunity funnel for current products. The primary focus is on large OEMs and the broad market in the Americas.
Responsibilities
Define strategy and business plan for key industrial and medical segments including but not limited to factory automation, robotics, energy infrastructure, medical wearables and diagnostics.
Provide applications insight into power management, sensing, signal chain, and processors both to help build a highly differentiated new product portfolio and promote existing products.
Conduct market research to identify trends in target markets, customer needs, and competitive positioning and communicate to stakeholders quarterly.
Synthesize trends into MRDs, use cases, applications, and technical requirements, by partnering with business units.
Support field as a regional expert, develop segment presentations, engage with customers, discover opportunities, and work with business units to validate pre-release concepts.
Lead opportunity funnel, design-ins and design-wins by collaborating with sales, business units, and corporate marketing teams.
Develop solutions content, drive and present demos at tradeshows, and act as a spokesperson at seminars and events.
Create and deliver vertical marketing materials, including sell sheets, whitepapers, presentations, competitive comparisons, demos, field training, and customer seminars.
Develop relationships with market-marker customers to gather input for product development and marketing strategies.
Experience in devising and rolling out industrial and medical total solutions using internal business units, field applications, and third-party partners.
Domestic and international travel required.
Qualifications
Master’s/Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
Deep insight into industrial and medical market, especially emerging trends in automation, robotics, energy infrastructure, AI, wearables, and clinical diagnostics.
Over 10 years of experience in IC product marketing, product definition or business development with knowledge of power, sensing, signal chain, processor, and edge computing.
Proven record of GTM and business development opening doors and closing business in collaboration with sales
Ability to understand and discover customer system-level needs before advocating solutions.
Expert communication and presentation skills with experience influencing and projecting vision backed up by data to executive team, customers, field, and other stakeholders.
Driven and motivated leader with ability to hold self at a high bar of execution, thorough, and organized with the right combination of big picture and attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits Salary:
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $172,960 - $311,190 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
