We are EnduroSat! A fast-growing space scale-up at the forefront of satellite innovation, specializing in advanced software-flexible satellites for commercial, governmental, and scientific endeavors.
This role is based in Denver, Colorado or Washington DC, where we are building high-performing and fast-paced organizations. The position will be primarily on-site and in person at the office, with travel visiting our design and production teams in Europe.
Responsibilities
Lead overall mission assurance activities throughout the satellite lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, testing, launch, and operations
Develop, implement, and continuously refine quality assurance processes that ensure high reliability, safety, and mission success
Serve as a customer advocate for quality and reliability, ensuring program compliance with mission and contractual requirements
Coordinate and conduct independent technical assessments, design reviews, failure analyses, and risk evaluations
Identify and mitigate risks early through robust verification and validation planning, failure mode and effects analysis, and fault management strategies
Drive root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions for anomalies or failures
Collaborate with systems engineering and product teams to improve test coverage, quality metrics, and product readiness reviews
Monitor and report mission assurance metrics and KPIs across the company
Conduct incoming inspections and quality audits of build and integration processes
Prepare and deliver assurance documentation including quality reports, conformance packages, mission readiness assessments, and launch readiness documentation
Support regulatory and customer audits, and act as the liaison for technical exchanges related to mission assurance
Lead internal training initiatives on quality systems, mission assurance best practices, and lessons learned from past missions
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, precision, operational excellence, and customer-focused delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
15 years of experience in space systems including 10+ years of experience in mission assurance, quality engineering, or systems engineering
Familiarity with quality standards and requirements in commercial and government space sectors
Proven experience developing, implementing, and improving risk management tools and reliability engineering processes
Hands-on experience with satellite testing, launch integration, and on-orbit operations
Six Sigma and other quality management certifications
Strong understanding of satellite systems and operations and expertise in the typical faults and root causes of spacecraft on-orbit failures
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Proven experience supporting end-to-end space missions, across multiple orbit regimes including LEO and GEO
Willingness to travel to US and European locations
Based in the Denver or Washington DC areas, or willing to relocate to either

Salary range:
$150,000 - $250,000 per year. The state of Colorado requires listing salary details. The salary will likely be within this range, although it may differ based on experience level or other factors.
