Overview We are hiring for a Sr. Data Scientist in our Scottsdale, Arizona location. As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy data-driven solutions. You’ll analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and help drive strategic decision-making. You have a strong desire to solve business problems using data and analytically based solutions and have demonstrated the ability to find creative solutions to complex and challenging analytical problems. This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities

Explore, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to extract insights that improve our products and services

Develop and test predictive models (e.g., demand forecasting, pricing optimization, customer segmentation) and help integrate them into business workflows

Work with developers and product managers to deploy models into production, ensuring scalability and reliability

Develop algorithms and methodologies that optimize back-end processes and maximize revenue

Develop internal models/processes such as machine learning models, numerical optimization, statistical significance testing, and streaming event data processing

Promote the adoption of advanced analytics and data-driven thinking within LodgeLink

Work effectively with stakeholders to understand ambiguous business problems, assess data needs, develop/maintain best suited models or processes, and identify opportunities where data science can create value

Technical Skills

Proficient in Python and SQL, and additional software experience preferred

Familiar with machine learning modelling (classification, regression, clustering) across a variety of implementations (linear, neural networks, svm, tree-based, bandits, etc) and frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, Sagemaker, Prophet etc)

Skilled in applying statistical test (e.g. t-test, chi-squared, non-parametric etc), experiment design, and causal inference models to real-world problems

Experience with cloud-based data environments (preferably Azure) and distributed computing tools (e.g., Databricks, Spark)

Strong grasp of statistics, machine learning techniques, and practical data storytelling

Familiarity with software engineering practices such as Git, testing, and CI/CD for models

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and balance speed with quality

Experience

5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related role

B. Sc. or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field

Work Style

Experience operating in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS) with large datasets

Experience working in a SaaS or travel-tech environment

Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
