Position Summary

We seek a highly experienced and proactive Controller who will manage the full spectrum of accounting operations with both strategic vision and operational precision. This role requires a strategic leader and hands-on executor who excels in systems management, bookkeeping, and the development and maintenance of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will be the driving force behind robust accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, confidential environment. Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee comprehensive accounting operations, reporting to the CFO to ensure operational excellence and financial integrity. Develop, implement, and maintain effective bookkeeping practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that streamline processes and enforce internal controls. Evaluate current accounting systems and processes; recommend and implement technological enhancements to optimize efficiency and reporting accuracy. Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management with precision and foresight. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax planning, and reporting, working collaboratively with external auditors and advisors. Provide timely, accurate financial insights and reporting that support strategic business decisions at the highest level. Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial and family office information. Foster strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners to promote seamless operations and continuous improvement. Demonstrate a “get it done” attitude, prioritizing problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership by example in all responsibilities. Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership capabilities, ideally within private wealth management, family offices, or similar UHNW environments. Proven expertise in bookkeeping, systems management, and SOP creation/maintenance. Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and treasury functions. Experience implementing and managing accounting software and related technologies; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite essential. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion managing confidential information. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, working extended hours as needed in a dynamic environment. Compensation and Location

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (on-site preferred); Salary: $140,000.00 – $175,000.00 Benefits
